On the morning of August 31st, 2021, the signing ceremony of ‘Dadikid’ Preschools of The Future Project in Qiaojia County, Yunnan Province was held at the Headquarters of Dadikid Early Childhood Education Group (Dadikid) in Zhuhai City, Guangdong Province. Cheng Dakun, CEO of Dadikid, Liang Shuang, Head of the Early Start Project of the China Charity Aid Foundation for Children, Michael  Hermann, Chief Representative of the International HUMANA PEOPLE TO PEOPLE Movement (Switzerland) Yunnan Representative Office， and other 9 people attended the meeting.

Located in the northeast of Yunnan Province and the southwest of Zhaotong City，Qiaojia County is 268 kilometers away from Kunming City. It has jurisdiction over 16 townships with a population of about 625,000, of which the agricultural population is about 450,000, accounting for about 72% of the total population. Qiaojia County is formed by mainly mountainous regions, which account for 98.9% of total area, and with the most complicated terrain in Yunnan Province.

Complex terrain results in uneven distribution of products and low level of economic development in Qiaojia County. With the vigorous implementation of the policies of "Changing pre-primary classes to preschools" and "One village, One preschool", rural preschool education in Qiaojia County has been greatly improved, but at the same time, it is also faced with obvious problems such as insufficient faculty resources and weak pre-school professional teaching knowledge and skills. Nearly 160 kindergartens of "pre-primary classes changed to preschools" have not yet been covered by the project, and their quality needs to be improved. 

Preschools of The Future in Qiaojia County

After understanding the needs of Qiaojia County for high-quality preschool education, Dadikid and its subordinate kindergartens launched a caring action to support the rural preschool education project in Qiaojia County, Yunnan Province for three consecutive years in cooperation with China Charities Aid Foundation for Children and the International HUMANA PEOPLE TO PEOPLE Movement (Switzerland) Yunnan Representative Office through the way of "Transmitting love with love".

The project will cover 30 rural preschools in Qiaojia County, train 30 local preschool teachers, and provide high-quality preschool education  services for 750 children aged 3-6 every year. At the same time, in order to help village preschools in Qiaojia County improve hardware facilities and provide toys and teaching aids, Dadikid Early Childhood Education Group donated computers, iFuNote electronic pianos and other materials to these preschools covered by the project.

Dadikid is a well-known brand of preschool education in China. For more than 30 years, it has engaged in the preschool education in China, committed to provide Chinese children with better preschool education, helping children's childhood dreams. Paying attention to preschool development is the core goal of Dadikid Early Childhood Education Group. They hope to provide more support for rural preschool education while developing urban one and narrow the gap between urban and rural preschool education. In addition, Dadikid also hopes to provide more preschool education resources to help more children in remote rural preschools.

Project introduction:

Funded among others by Dadikid Early Childhood Education Group and China Charities Aid Foundation for Children, the Qiaojia County POF project takes preschool education as the breakthrough point, to provide a safe, comfortable learning and playing environment for children in remote rural areas. The curriculum focuses on health, language, society, science and art, so that preschool-age children living in rural areas can get all-round development in morality, intelligence, physique and aesthetics. The project focuses on two modules: upgrading teaching hardware as well as teaching and playing aids, and improving teachers' professional ability. At the same time, the project supervises and manages the daily operation of the preschool, assists teachers in training parents, creates a safe and healthy learning and living environment for those children, thereby achieving the joint education of family and kindergarten. Quality preschool education provided by the POF will make the rural children fully prepared for entering the primary school.
