In the preschool class, the plant corner is the most attractive for children. While feeling the fun of planting, children can also observe the germination of seeds, understand how plants grows, and explore the significance of plant growth!

For us in Qiaojia County village preschool classes, with our childhood in the village, the flowers and trees all over the mountains are very familiar. The families’ small yards and small vegetable gardens are all planted with flowers and fruit trees for the whole family.

Preschool classes shall provide children with a comfortable, favorable learning environment. We preschool teachers began to give the preschool class to a big change about the area corner layout and class room environment.

In order to make the preschool class more green, I planned a separate planting area near the window of the classroom. Following the previous planting lessons, each child should go home to plant a pot of their favorite plants to bring to the preschool class and decorate the planting area.

The next day, we all brought small potted plants, aloe vera, sunflower, succulent, and some children brought garlic seedlings, scallion....... The vegetable and flower garden immediately brought one corner of the classroom to life.

The planting area is set up, and the next step is to teach the children how to care for the plants. We arranged two children to take turns watering and weeding every day. We all liked it very much, and many funny things happened occasionally.

At an outdoor free activity class, all the children gathered on the playground to play ball, eagles catch chickens, play house to house. At this time, I could not find a little Quan and we began to look for him everywhere.

After a while, little Jie found little Quan in the classroom, and my heart beat finally slowed down. Going to the class room I asked him why he's here alone?

"I wanted to see if my plants had grown any taller......".

All children are always concerned about their own small plants and take care of them - with the care of children, plants grow very well.

The planting area, in addition to bringing children fun, also brings children a journey of plant exploration.

I used the plants in the growing area to guide the children to observe the characteristics of different plants, explore the growth conditions of plants through its shape and color, and finally guide the children to trace the observed plants through plasticine.

A fun nature education lesson to develop creativity, observation and drawing skills.

Project introduction:

Guancun Preschool of the Future Class is funded by Tin Ka Ping Foundation. HPP cooperates with Qiaojia Education and Sports Bureau to assist its "One Village, One Preschool" policy. Taking early education as the entry point for the project, we will improve the hardware facilities and teaching aids of preschool classes, regularly organize systematic training for teachers, and project personnel will regularly supervise preschool classes to help teachers solve difficulties and problems in daily teaching activities. In addition, the preschool class sets up a parent committee to carry out parent training and promote family education. We pay attention to curriculum gamification teaching, provide teachers' with management kits, teaching materials and other related tools, and such improve rural preschool education coverage and rural preschool education teaching quality, so that more children can receive quality preschool education.
