Students of Class 1, Grade 2016 visited children of Mengwaiba Preschool

November 26, 2018 was a special day for children of Mengwaiba Preschool of Longling County, Baoshan City, Yunnan Province. They welcomed visitors —— students of EMBA Class 1 Grade 2016 of China Europe International Business School in Beijing, who supported establishment of the preschool a year ago.

There were over 50 persons in the visiting team which is led by the project initiator Zhang Mengna and the monitor Niu Zhiming. The team visited the preschool classroom and noon-break rooms first. The project leader Yang Chunbo detailed teaching activities, daily life, community participation and physical examination of the Preschool to the visiting team through pictures in the classrooms and facilities.

During the activity, the project leader Yang Chunbo extended sincere thanks to the visiting team for their support of Mengwaiba Preschool, briefly introduced the idea of HUMANA PEOPLE TO PEOPLE Preschool of Future Project and implementation of Preschool of Future Project in Longling County and emphatically introduced the Mengwaiba Preschool Project supported by students of Class 1 Grade 2016. Then the Secretary of Mengwaiba Village extended great thanks to students of Class 1 Grade 2016 and said, “The support and help from students of Class 1 Grade 2016 solved the big difficulty of children education in Mengwaiba Village”.

Then Wan Can, the deputy director of poverty relief Office in Longling County, Michael Hermann, Chief Representative of HUMANA PEOPLE TO PEOPLE, parents and representative of the visiting team made their speeches. The student representative of Class 1 Grade 2016 also presented flowers to Yang Yunbo, a teacher of Mengwaiba Preschool. The head teacher of Class 1 Grade 2016 expressed that in addition to hardware facilities, the preschool is as good as the exploring kindergarten in Beijing that her child goes to. She highly praised HUMANA PEOPLE TO PEOPLE “a caring and feeling organization for earnest innovation and pursuit of excellence”.

The activity lasting more than two hours ended up with the performance of “Grateful Heart” by the children, joyous interaction games and the wall painting “Big hands hold small hands”. But the students still wanted to know more about the children. Some even asked jokingly if they can adopt them.

Students of Class 1 Grade 2016 perfectly completed their graduation ceremony with love. The preschool donated by them still has 2 years to go and has benefited 44 children up to now. It is believed that more families and children will benefit from it in future!

About the Project:

The case is the Preschool of Mengwaiba, Longling County funded by students of EMBA Class 1 Grade 16 of China Europe International Business School in Beijing. The purpose of community preschool education project is to help underprivileged children get rid of poverty and establish preschool in natural villages in remote poverty-stricken areas using classrooms designed from various rooms. Preschool teachers will be recruited and trained there and a parent committee will be established. In addition to traditional subjects, the children will also study nature, animal, nutrition and hygiene and learn to express themselves by art and music. These children are generally 3-6 years old and they can be well-prepared for primary school through preschool education.

The project is funded by students of EMBA Class 1 Grade 16 of China Europe International Business School in Beijing.
