Friendship between POF Longling and Ivy Bilingual Kindergarten

A generous donation action was initiated by Beijing Ivy Bilingual Kindergarten before spring festival. They collected the goods to be sent to the preschools in Longling County (Baoshan City, Yunnan Province) which are supported by China Merchants Charitable Foundation, their donation includes: 190 pieces of clothes, 120 trousers, 39 hats, 20 scarves, 20 pairs of gloves, 10 pairs of shoes, 354 pieces of toy, 50 pieces of stationery, 364 books and handicrafts made by children and teachers together. The project leader, Wang Chengyi distributed all the goods to the 12 preschools, and she called and said many thanks to all the Ivy kids and teacher and parents.
Soon afterwards, HPP Beijing office received a big box of handicrafts and paintings from Longling Preschools. They DIY-ed little toys with abandoned daily items and recycled materials, which are very inspiring. Some highlights are, a wind-chime made from small empty glass bottles chained together, a set of miniature tables and chairs made from cardboard, and stitched puppet dolls made from old socks. The DIY-ed items were highly praised by the Ivy Bilingual Kindergarten principal and teachers who were amazed by the Longling preschool children’s creativity, they said in the future they would like to motivate Ivy Kindergartens in surrounding cities to donate to our preschool kids.
