This old lady supports the whole family all by her own. Her husband passed away from illness many years ago, and her two sons passed away due to HIV/AIDS caused by drug use. After her son died, his wife left the family, leaving two children behind; , now she is raising her grandsons on her own. She knows HIV/AIDS is taking away people’s life, but she is not aware of how HIV/AIDS spreads or why HIV/AIDS can lead to death. Field officer Lahei Xiao’an educates her face-to-face about the TCE project and HIV/AIDS prevention, and tells her to pass on this knowledge to her grandson. He also persuades her family to go take an HIV/AIDS test at the local health department, to understand how to prevent the illness and how to protect themselves.
