HPP TCE Butuo officially launches cooperation with Liangshan Prefecture STDs and AIDS Prevention Association

“Only the people can liberate themselves from the AIDS epidemic”, this is the underlying concept behind HPP’s Total Control of the Epidemic (TCE) project. At the end of 2013, HPP TCE Butuo in Sichuan’s Liangshan Prefecture took one further step forward: the cooperation with Liangshan Prefecture STDs and AIDS Prevention Association is officially launched! The project period will be from 1st September, 2013 to 30th June, 2014.
Liangshan Prefecture STDs and AIDS Prevention Association was founded with the support of Liangshan Prefecture Centre for Disease Control, Liangshan Prefectural No.1 Hospital, Xichang city dermatology station, various companies and social organizations. The association strives to give an organizational structure to all the personnel working in STDs and AIDs prevention sector in Liangshan Prefecture, thus establishing a more effective platform through which they can exchange resources and unite their energies in combating STDs and AIDs.
The collaborative project between HPP and the association will continue to implement program activities around the foundational HPP TCE concept; HIV/AIDS prevention education and HIV rapid testing will be conducted in 3 new townships of Liangshan.
